Nursing Students for Social Justice is hosting a film and panel evening about living with HIV.
Thursday November 7,
6:30-9pm- at EPH 216.
The agenda is as follows:
6:30pm-7:00pm: Doors (if you come after 7:00pm, the doors to the building will only be accessible via your ONE card)
7:00pm-8:00pm: Film- "Positive+", followed by a panel of the cast members who will share what it is like to live with HIV.
8:00pm-9:00pm: Casey House will present a panel which includes a Casey House Nurse, and educator and another person with living with HIV.
Patient narratives are an excellent way to understand the context of patient experiences, which will enable you to provide better care. This is also a great networking opportunity as you will be able to meet a nurse from Casey House and learn about her experiences working with a very marginalized population and how she has aligned herself as an advocate and ally.
Also, we have snacks!
We hope to see you there!
