Get Involved With The RSU

RSU O-Week And Week Of Welcome

Looking for ways to get involved on campus for the start of the school year? Get involved with the RSU Orientation Week and Week of Welcome! We have events taking place both weeks, from 9am-6pm and we can't do it without your help!

Volunteers will receive an RSU O-Week/WoW t-shirt, and food during their shift (of over 2 hours or more) to compensate for their volunteerism. The volunteer who is most dedicated to the RSU events will also be entered in a draw for their chance to win an October Metro Pass!

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please fill out a form here.

Meet New Friends & Have Fun

With hundreds of events and campaigns throughout the year, we depend on volunteers to build a strong campus community. Volunteering with the RSU gives you an opportunity to get involved on campus, build and share new skills, make connections with other students, and be a part of the broader student movement.

There are a lot of ways to get involved, including joining a committee, Equity Service Centre, or helping out at our events. Volunteering is flexible with your schedule and it’s totally up to you how many hours you want to commit. Below is a list of current volunteering opportunities. Contact the person below the description to join the committee or find out more!

General Volunteers

If you are interested in a whole range of work undertaken by the Students’ Union, consider becoming a general volunteer. General volunteers are students that aren’t interested in a particular committee but want to build up volunteer hours with the RSU. This can take on the form of helping with outreach and promotions, general office work, or helping with set-up and take down of events. Contact the person below to volunteer or for more info.
