MEMBERSHIP
Every student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or any graduate program at Ryerson is a member of the Ryerson Students' Union. Membership entitles students to all of the advocacy and services provided by the Students' Union. In addition, all members of the RSU are members of the provincial and national students' union, the Canadian Federation of Students.
DECISION MAKING
General Membership Meetings
The highest level of decision making for the students' union is the general membership meeting. There are two general membership meetings per year, one during the fall semester and one during the winter semester. All members are encouraged to attend and participate.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall administration of the students' union. Directors meet monthly to ensure that the finances, campaigns and services of the RSU are operating effectively and efficiently. Directors' terms are effective May 1 to April 30 of each year. All members in good standing are eligible to be nominated for the Board of Directors.
Executive Members
The Executive Members are responsible for the RSU's day-to-day operations. The Executive team meets to ensure the direction from the membership and the Board of Directors is being executed. The term of office for Executive members is effective May 1st to April 30th each year. All RSU members in good standing are eligible to be nominated for Executive positions.
