Unite for High Quality, Affordable, Public Education

Despite the chronic underfunding of Ontario's public services and post-secondary education system, the provincial government is now proposing a wage freeze for all public sector employees.  This will only deepen the current crisis.

STUDENTS & WORKERS SHOULD BE EQUALLY CONCERNED

- students are workers and are already under paid

- fewer instructors and larger class sizes mean less support for students

- quality affects both students and workers

- 1.3 million Ontarians are living in poverty

- cuts and restructuring have decreased access to education, hospitals, childcare and community services.

WHEN WE CUT FUNDING WE SPREAD INEQUITY!

A wage freeze directly impacts our ability to pay student fees and pay off student debt.

Get involved, download the attached flyer and take action to defend public services and post-secondary education.
