Executive Committee

The RSU has an Executive Committee that meets on a regular basis between Board of Directors meetings to make decisions on behalf of the organisation.

In addition to the Executive members there are two staff members on the Committee sitting as ex-officio, non-voting reps to advise the Executive. The two staff members are: the Executive Director of Communications and Outreach and the Executive Director of Operations and Services.

The Ryerson Students' Union Board of Directors is an elected representative body of all full time and graduate students at Ryerson. Terms for those elected begin in May, and run through the next academic year, ending in April.

The Board is comprised of a number of different types of Directors:

• Senate Director - elected from those students who represented their faculty at Senate.
• Board of Governors Director - one of the three full-time Ryerson student elected to the University's Board of Governors is appointed by the President to sit ex-officio to the Ryerson Students' Union Board of Directors.
• Course Union & Student Group Directors - elected from the incoming executive members of the Ryerson Student's Union course unions and student groups and ratified by the Board.
• Graduate Students Director - elected by and from the Ryerson Students' Union Graduate Executive Committee to represent students enrolled in one of Ryerson's Graduate Studies programs.
• Student Residence Director - appointed from Residence Council, to sit on the Ryerson Student's Union Board of Directors as ex-officio.
• Student Faculty Directors - elected directly to the Board of Directors by full-time students in their faculty.

The Board of Directors meet on a monthly basis to make decisions and set the direction of the organisation on behalf of the Ryerson Students' Union members, in between the general meetings of the membership. All Ryerson Students' Union Board of Directors meetings are open to the public.
