If you are interested in starting a new group it is best to come to the RSU's main office, third floor of the Student Centre - 55 Gould St. SCC311, to speak with the Vice-President Student Life and Events, email: email@example.com or the Campus Groups Coordinator, email:firstname.lastname@example.org
All new groups must complete an application form accompanied by a list of potential members and/or students that support the formation of the group, a list of Executive members accompanied with contact information, a constitution, and a list of activities/events and statement of purpose. This information is then reviewed by the Student Groups Committee who makes a recomendation for approval to the Board of Directors. The groups application is then submitted for review, discussion and approval at an RSU Board of Directors meetings.
NOTE: The RSU's Board only meets once a month and as such the approval process for new groups takes a minimum of five weeks.
