RSU Tax Clinic

Volunteer at the RSU Tax Clinic!

Interested? Here are the steps:

  1. Register as a new or returning volunteer
  2. Apply for or renew EFILE
  3. Submit your info on our Tax Clinic Volunteer Registration form
  4. Complete the training: 2018 CVITP Training Page - Ontario Region

Sessions you should watch: UFILE Presentation, Volunteer Expectations, T4A, Students, and Ontario Credits. Feel free to watch other topics as well, but these are essential. Be sure to click the box so previously recorded sessions are available. You do not need to participate in a live session.

Once we have a good size group of volunteers, we will follow up with more information! The 2019 clinic is over. Next year, the clinic will be taking place in late March/early April, and we will do an availability call out when the dates are set.

Any questions can be directed to memberservices@rsuonline.ca

Need help completing your tax return?

The RSU runs a free tax clinic with the donation of a non-perishable food item for the RSU Good Food Centre. 2019 clinic appointments are now closed.

The tax clinic is open to all Ryerson students in partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGAO). A team of trained student volunteers will help prepare your tax return and file it to the CRA on your behalf.
