About the Special Projects Committee
The Special Projects Committee will be responsible for the allocation of funding to graduate student association(s) for projects that require additional funding above and beyond the base annual GCU campus group-funding amount of $250. The committee is created through a majority vote, consisting of at least three to a maximum of five active members of the Graduate Council. Of which, one representative is the Deputy Chairperson of Finance from the Graduate Representative Committee, and two or more representatives are from the Ryerson graduate student body. To ensure diversity, no GCU is allowed to have more than one member on the committee. The appointment of graduate student representatives to the Special Projects Committee is made during the first Graduate Representative Council meeting of the school year. The committee will meet as needed (usually 2-3 times per term) to review applications, verify submitted receipts, and discuss administrative matters.
