The Ryerson Students’ Union is giving students the opportunity to receive assistance in their academic life through a mental health leadership award
All full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are coping with a mental health illness and are in a leadership role on campus are eligible to apply. We understand that balancing school, work, and extra-circulars can be tough on any student, but dealing with a mental illness and the stigmas associated with it can be extra difficult.
A total of fifteen (15) students will be rewarded with $2,000 to help them out in the winter semester
We have established this award in order to offer extra support to student leaders on campus. It is to recognize that in spite of their mental health issues, students have contributed to social, academic, and other areas of advancement for Ryerson University. This award aims to recognize the personal and community level achievement of Ryerson students who strive to enhance the Ryerson community, and are actively working to end the stigma through their Involvement.
